ZHOU Quan /dj-o chu-en/ is a Chinese filmmaker currently based in Beijing and commuting between East Asia and North America.
Born and raised in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Zhou Quan graduated from Australia’s RMIT University with a Bachelor of Communication (Media) and the American Film Institute with a Master of Fine Arts in Directing. He is also a directing alumnus of Berlinale Talents and Taipei Golden Horse Film Academy.
His films have been screened at over 40 international film festivals including Busan, Rome, Montreal, Minsk, Cinequest, Beijing and Pingyao. His feature film debut End of Summer (2017) won KNN Award at Busan International Film Festival and HAF Award at Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum. His AFI thesis film Woman In Fragments (2014) won Special Jury Prize at China Short Film Academy Awards, Air Canada Short Film Award at Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival and Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short at Austin Asian American Film Festival. At 2017 Tencent Video Awards, he was awarded "New Film Director of the Year".
He co-founded Each Other Films with his producing partners in Los Angeles, Beijing and Taipei, and is currently developing his second project, Searching For The Silent Maiden, a psychological thriller drama series selected in 2016 Taipei Golden Horse Film Project Promotion.
